The BCSS Victoria Branch is pleased to offer a 9-week education program for families who have a loved-one with mental illness. This series offers families information on mental illnesses such as early psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar, and major depression. Guest speakers include the Integrated Mobile Crisis Response Team, pharmacists, substance use specialists, and inspirational speakers.

Topics Include:

  • Facts about Psychosis
  • Causes and Treatments
  • Coping as a Family
  • Self Care
  • Communication
  • Living with Psychosis
  • Recovery and Understanding the Mental Health System and Advocacy

Date:  Monday evenings starting September 25, 2017

Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

This free workshop is open to any family members who have a loved one living with mental illness. Pre-registration is required. To register, please contact: admin.bcss@shaw.ca 250-384-4225. Please note that spaces are now filled for the workshop, though we would be happy to add your name to a waitlist in case a space becomes available.
