The Hope and Recovery Support Group is a small gathering of people in recovery from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis and other mental health conditions. Some participants are also recovering from substance use issues in addition to a mental illness.
The Hope and Recovery Support Group is led by facilitators who are in recovery from their own mental illness. The group provides hope and support through sharing stories and wellness strategies.
Participation is free and no referral is required. You can either call in advance to let us know you or coming or just show up for the group. Either way you will be welcome.
The group meets Wednesdays at BCSS Victoria, 941 Kings Road from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. To view the schedule go to the meeting calendar link on the top right of the screen.
The goal of recovery is…”to become the unique, awesome, never to be repeated human being that we are called to be…one of the most essential challenges that faces us is to ask who can I become and why should I say yes to life.”–Patricia Deegan, PhD. “Recovery as a Journey of the Heart” (1996)
