A trained and knowledgeable worker can provide practical suggestions and ideas, hope, empathy and support, and information about mental illness and recovery. The emphasis is on self-care, stress management and personal awareness.
Participants are matched with a Family Peer Support Worker who can meet with them up to 10 times, at a mutually agreed upon time and place, or by telephone.
